关于NOR TENDER的时间与发email的时间差问题

我们的船靠泊青岛卸货时，在1516时抵达锚地递交NOR，但是船长在1605才发邮件通知了租家。由于有sunset条款：if the vessel arrives at discharge port and tenders valid NOR  between 1530 hours local time and 0100 hours local time the next day, then time shalll count from 0700 hours local time the next day.
因此，租家解释：我们收到船长邮件是在1605，因此，按照sunset clause，NOR应从第二天0700开始计算。
请问我们应该怎么抗辩？
